A dose of inspiration
Get ready for a regular dose of inspiration
As the sun sets on another glorious summer and we prepare for shorter fall days and busier schedules, I find myself thinking about everyone who has made this journey of growth, leadership, and career-life exploration so incredible for me.
I started writing my newsletter 16 years ago. Some of you have been with me since day one, and now we are nearing 200 issues delivered to your inbox.
I want to express my gratitude to all of you. Thank you for reading this newsletter every month and staying in touch with me, for sharing it with your friend circles and business networks and for reaching out with great questions and suggestions.
Your support, feedback, shared experiences, and desire for personal and professional growth have fueled and guided me.
Social media: It’s complicated
As I think about fresh starts in the fall, I’ve been thinking about social media. Like most of you, I have a complicated relationship with social media. It both connects us and distracts us. Lately, I’ve found myself scrolling too much, burning precious time. Of course, there are hidden treasures amongst the noise and negativity on social media, from the latest breakthroughs in well-being and health to the bounty of great recipes and methods for preparing food that have reignited my passion for cooking.
But I want to end the aimless scrolling and more carefully curate the content I consume. I will only follow the content producers who enrich my life, teach or inspire me. I will unfollow the content that clutters my mind and steals my time.
